How does a time recorder log work hours?

Time recorders can be divided based on access methods. Available models allow users to use an assigned access code or log in using a fingerprint, which, due to its uniqueness, enhances security. There are also devices that, in addition to access via password and fingerprint, are equipped with RFID technology, enabling login through a dedicated RFID card. Such equipment offers the capability to store tens of thousands of logins in the device’s memory, sufficient for at least several dozen days of continuous operation.

Is additional software installation necessary before use?

For time recorders from the CTR and FTR series, there is no need to install additional programs as they have built-in software. The recorders are ready to operate immediately after being connected to a power source. However, for time recorders from the TimeLok series, it is necessary to download and install a dedicated application.

Where are login data stored?

All information regarding work time logging is stored in the internal memory.

How can login data stored on the device be accessed?

Data can be retrieved from the device level or using a USB flash drive or external disk by connecting to the USB port. It is possible to generate a report for all logins or for individual users or date ranges. Generating a report is done without external software, and the device automatically creates an Excel file containing the selected data. Available reports include summaries of employee attendance, logging of employee presence, tables of lateness and early shift endings, and schedules for vacations and days off.

How can a time attendance recorder be used?

In addition to logging employee work hours, a time attendance recorder can be used to control access to rooms and buildings. The included cable allows configuration of the panel with an electronic door lock. This function enables control over the opening and closing of a room, and features such as a tamper alarm, which detects unauthorized disassembly of the device.

Does the time recorder have a Wiegand input/output?

The time attendance recorder supports Wiegand 26 and Wiegand 34 protocols, allowing the installation of an external access control reading device and the direct delivery of data to the recorder.

Can the recorder be mounted?

The recorder has special mounting holes on the back of the case, and the set includes dedicated dowels and mounting screws, allowing the equipment to be mounted on the wall of a room or building.

Which devices can a recorder with RFID function work with?

A recorder equipped with RFID technology can work with RFID cards and key fobs operating at 125 kHz frequency.

What should be done if the password for the time recorder is forgotten?

Is it possible to set non-standard working hours in the recorders?

Non-standard working hours can be set in devices from the CTR and FTR series, unfortunately, recorders from the TimeLok series do not have this function.

Is it possible to connect to the recorder wirelessly via WiFi?
