The Tag-U8-4601 is an industrial UHF RFID tag engineered for demanding environments in the construction industry. Made from durable PPS material, it is designed for mounting on metal surfaces and embedding in concrete, making it a versatile solution for tracking construction materials and tools on job sites. Operating at 865–868 MHz (EU) and 902–928 MHz (US), the tag delivers a reading range of up to 6.6 meters on metal surfaces and up to 1.9 meters when embedded in concrete at 5 cm depth. The Tag-U8-4601 is built to last in tough environments. Its IP68 protection rating ensures full resistance to dust and water, while the operating temperature range of -25°C to +100°C (storage up to +150°C) makes it suitable for outdoor construction sites, foundries, and industrial facilities. The tag supports 100,000 write cycles and provides up to 50 years of data retention, ensuring long-term reliable identification of assets. Two 3.6 mm mounting holes allow for mechanical fastening directly to materials or equipment.
Equipped with the Alien Higgs-3 chip (compatible variants include Monza M4QT, Monza R6, UCODE 7XM+), the tag offers EPC memory up to 480 bits, USER memory of 512 bits, and a 64-bit TID for unique identification. This allows storing rich identification data — ideal for encoding asset numbers, production batch codes, or location identifiers directly on the tag. The tag’s memory is fully read/write accessible through standard UHF RFID readers operating in the 860–960 MHz band.

Yes. The Tag-U8-4601 operates in the standard UHF RFID band (865–868 MHz for Europe, 902–928 MHz for the US) and is compatible with any reader conforming to EPC Gen 2 / ISO 18000-63 standards. It can be read by both handheld and fixed UHF RFID readers.
The tag features two 3.6 mm mounting holes for mechanical fastening with screws or bolts directly to steel, aluminum, or other metal surfaces. Its design ensures stable signal performance even when mounted on metal, unlike standard RFID tags which lose range on metal substrates.
