The Tag-H4-2019 is an industrial UHF RFID tag designed for use on metal surfaces in extreme thermal conditions. Built from durable metal (PEEK), the Tag-H4-2019 withstands temperatures up to 280°C for 50 minutes and 250°C for 150 minutes, with a continuous operating range of -40°C to +150°C and storage tolerance up to +200°C. This makes it the ideal choice for metallurgical, automotive and heavy manufacturing environments where conventional tags fail.
The Tag-H4-2019 uses the Alien Higgs-4 chip, providing EPC memory of 128 bits, USER memory of 128 bits and TID memory of 64 bits. It supports up to 100,000 write cycles and a data retention time of up to 50 years, ensuring reliable long-term identification of components throughout their entire lifecycle.
With an IP68 ingress protection rating, the Tag-H4-2019 is sealed against dust and sustained water immersion — suitable for harsh outdoor and industrial wash-down environments. The tag is CE and RoHS certified, confirming compliance with European safety and environmental regulations. Its compact dimensions of 20 x 2.1 mm and dual mounting holes (2 mm) allow for secure mechanical attachment directly to metal parts.

Yes. The Tag-H4-2019 is specifically engineered for mounting on metal surfaces. Unlike standard RFID tags, which are detuned by metal, this tag maintains full performance when attached directly to metallic objects — making it ideal for tracking metal components, tools and parts in industrial production.
The Tag-H4-2019 operates continuously from -40°C to +150°C. For short-duration heat exposure, it survives 280°C for up to 50 minutes and 250°C for up to 150 minutes. Storage is safe up to 200°C. This makes it suitable for processes such as welding, heat treatment, autoclaving and powder coating.
The tag features two 2 mm mounting holes and measures 20 x 2.1 mm, allowing it to be bolted or riveted directly onto components. This mechanical fastening ensures the tag stays securely attached even under extreme thermal cycling and vibration conditions.
