The SecureEntry-CR20LF is a compact outdoor RFID reader designed for access control systems. With its robust housing rated at IP66, it is fully protected against dust ingress and powerful water jets, making it suitable for permanent outdoor installation. The reader supports 125 kHz RFID technology (EM standard chips), reading proximity cards and key fobs with a read range of 0–5 cm. After connecting it to an electric lock or door controller, presenting a valid card grants instant access to the secured area. The Wiegand 26 interface makes integration straightforward — the reader connects easily to any access controller, time attendance recorder, or other Wiegand-compatible device located indoors. Note that 13.56 MHz cards (Mifare, HID iCLASS, DESFire) are not supported — for dual-frequency needs, see the SecureEntry-CR20HF.
The SecureEntry-CR20LF is designed for effortless installation. Its compact dimensions (120 × 48 × 20 mm) and low weight (105 g) allow it to be mounted discreetly next to any door frame or gate post. The included mounting kit (studs and screws) and straightforward wiring with the integrated cable make setup quick and clean. Power supply accepts 9–18V DC with a typical current draw of less than 30 mA, making it compatible with virtually any access control power supply.

The SecureEntry-CR20LF is a reader only — it reads the card UID and sends it via the Wiegand 26 interface to a separate access controller or time attendance recorder. It does not make access decisions on its own and does not store user data. You need a compatible controller (e.g. a Wiegand-capable time recorder or door controller) to define access rules.
The reader works with any standard 125 kHz RFID card or key fob using EM standard chips (EM4100 and compatible). These are among the most common proximity cards available. Cards operating at 13.56 MHz (Mifare, HID iCLASS, DESFire) are not supported — for 13.56 MHz support, see the SecureEntry-CR20HF model.
Yes. A typical setup places the SecureEntry-CR20LF outdoors (IP66, weatherproof) and connects it via Wiegand 26 cable to a time attendance recorder or access controller installed indoors. Employees badge in at the outdoor reader and the data is processed by the indoor device.
For Wiegand 26 installations, the recommended maximum cable run is typically up to 150 m with appropriate shielded cable (e.g. 6-core 0.5 mm²). For longer runs, use a signal repeater or consult the controller manufacturer’s specification.
