Frequently asked questions

How does the memory mode work?

When activated via a configuration barcode from the user manual, the HD19I stores all scanned codes in its internal memory (up to 3,000 codes). You can later transfer the stored data to your computer by placing the scanner on the docking station. This feature is particularly useful in large warehouses where the wireless signal may be intermittent.

How does the inductive charging work?

Simply place the HD19I scanner on the docking station cradle. Charging begins automatically without any cables or connectors — the docking station uses inductive (wireless) charging technology. The docking station itself connects to the computer via the included USB cable.

Can I add a prefix or suffix to scanned data?

Yes. The HD19I supports programming of custom prefix and suffix characters. Configuration barcodes for setting up the @ symbol and backtick (`) as prefix are included in the downloadable files below. Refer to the user manual for additional programming options.
