Compact RFID access control reader — SecureEntry-CR60LF

The SecureEntry-CR60LF is a compact and elegant proximity reader designed for access control systems. Its zinc alloy housing ensures outstanding durability and resistance to daily use, making it ideal for deployment in offices, companies, schools, and public institutions. The device reads 125 kHz RFID cards and key fobs and sends verified credentials to an access controller via Wiegand 26 or Wiegand 34 interface. Browse more access control readers in our offer.

Reliable 125 kHz RFID verification with Wiegand 26/34

The reader operates at 125 kHz frequency and supports standard proximity cards and key fobs (EM-compatible chips). Presenting a valid credential at the reader takes less than 0.2 seconds — the built-in dual-colour LED indicator and audible beeper immediately confirm acceptance or rejection. The Wiegand 26 interface (switchable to Wiegand 34) allows effortless integration with virtually any access controller, time attendance recorder, or third-party Wiegand-compatible device. The communication distance between the reader and controller can reach up to 100 metres, giving significant flexibility in installation design.

Convenient and secure door unlocking

The SecureEntry-CR60LF integrates seamlessly with electric locks and electromagnetic locks — once connected, employees and authorised visitors simply tap their card or key fob to unlock the door. The device operates at DC 9–16V (standard 12V) with a typical current draw of 70 mA, making it easy to power from any standard access-control power supply. The wide operating temperature range of -25°C to +75°C and working humidity up to 90 % (non-condensing) make the reader suitable for both indoor and partially sheltered environments.

Frequently asked questions

Is the SecureEntry-CR60LF a standalone access controller or only a reader?

The SecureEntry-CR60LF is a reader only — it reads the card or key fob UID and sends it via the Wiegand 26 (or 34) interface to a separate access controller or time attendance recorder. Access decisions (allowing or denying entry) are made by the controller, not the reader. You need a compatible Wiegand device to define access rules and manage users.

What cards and key fobs are compatible?

The reader works with any standard 125 kHz proximity card or key fob based on EM-compatible chips (e.g. EM4100 and similar). These are among the most widely used access credentials. Cards operating at 13.56 MHz (Mifare, HID iCLASS, DESFire) are not supported.

What is the difference between Wiegand 26 and Wiegand 34 on the CR60LF?

By default the reader outputs Wiegand 26, which transmits a 26-bit data frame (facility code + card ID). Wiegand 34 extends this to 34 bits, allowing a larger card number space. The output format is selectable — check the user manual for the configuration procedure. Both formats are fully compatible with the vast majority of access controllers on the market.

Can the SecureEntry-CR60LF be installed outdoors?

The CR60LF is rated for temperatures from -25°C to +75°C and humidity up to 90 %, making it well-suited for sheltered outdoor locations (e.g. covered entrances, porches, indoor lobbies with outdoor doors). For fully exposed outdoor installations subject to rain and direct water jets, consider our SecureEntry-CR10LF, which is rated IP66.
