Publishing data
If you decide to publish a product review, its content and the name you provide will be visible to other users of the Store. We do not disclose your e-mail address to other users – unless you do so yourself.
Profiling
We carry out profiling in the Store – this will apply to you if you allow such activities. Profiling consists in automatically assessing which products or services you may be interested in, using information about the content you view. As a result, advertisements for products or services displayed within the online services you use will be better suited to you and your needs.
The profiling we carry out does not result in decisions which produce legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affect you.
Analytics
We carry out analytical activities on the Store’s website in order to make it more intuitive and accessible – this will apply to you if you allow such activities. The analysis takes into account the way you navigate the Store – e.g. how much time you spend on a given page or where in the Store you click. This allows us to optimise the layout, appearance and content of the Store when developing it.
In addition, if you have agreed to receive marketing messages or the newsletter from us, we may analyse the effectiveness of our mailings – for example, whether and how they influenced activity in the Store. This helps us establish general rules for such mailings in our business, e.g. the best sending times or effective wording.
Matching advertising audiences (customer lists)
If you are our customer (you have made a purchase from us) or have subscribed to our newsletter, we may use the e-mail address and telephone number you provided to target or limit the display of our advertisements in the advertising systems we use: Google Ads (Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland – “Customer Match” feature), Meta Ads (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., Merrion Road, Dublin 4, Ireland – “Custom Audiences” feature) and Microsoft Advertising (Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd., One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland).
We transfer the data exclusively in a one-way encrypted form (SHA-256 hash). The provider of the advertising system compares them with the hashes of its users’ data and deletes them after matching – it does not receive the data from us in plain text and does not use them for its own purposes. On the basis of the matched users, the provider may also create audiences with similar characteristics (“lookalike audiences”) for us, without providing us with information about individual persons. We refresh the lists weekly and remove persons who have unsubscribed from the newsletter or objected, as well as customers who have not made a purchase from us for more than 24 months.
The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in direct marketing of our own products to our customers and newsletter subscribers and in limiting the display of advertisements to persons who are already our customers. You may object to this processing at any time (Art. 21 GDPR) by writing to [email protected] – we will then remove your data from the lists at the next refresh, no later than within 7 days.
Data security
When processing your personal data, we apply organisational and technical measures in accordance with the applicable law, including encryption of the connection using an SSL/TLS certificate.
