The device is equipped with a high-quality, precise and efficient scanning system based on a CMOS matrix, allowing it to easily read leading 1D and 2D barcodes, both from printed labels and LCD screens, as well as mobile device displays. The optical module also handles very dense and challenging barcodes. Notably, it excels at reading Aztec codes found on vehicle registration documents and QR codes on disability identification cards. The scanner can also operate in automatic mode for hands-free scanning.
The HD-SL96 model allows for wireless and hassle-free operation without disruptive cables and offers two types of wireless communication: 2.4 GHz radio and built-in Bluetooth module. The radio frequency technology used in the device enables operation at a range of up to 150 meters in open spaces, while Bluetooth provides up to 10 meters of range and direct connection to phones and tablets.
The reader has built-in memory that allows storing a large number of scanned codes for later transfer to a computer. This function is particularly useful when the scanner is out of wireless range and helps prevent data loss. The package includes a docking station that provides fast and convenient charging, which starts automatically when the device is placed on the stand.
