Advanced access control integration

The SecureEntry-EL100 features an operating current of 450mA and DC12V voltage. Thanks to the electronic lock, you can build an advanced access control system by connecting an RFID card reader, access controller or time recorder to it. This allows you to open the door using various verification methods, such as proximity card, password, fingerprint or face scan.

In addition, the electric deadbolt allows you to set a time delay for locking, which means the door stays open longer after unlocking. This enables more employees to enter the building at once, without having to unlock the door again.

Fail-secure operation mode

The SecureEntry-EL100 operates in fail-secure mode: power off to unlock, power on to lock. This ensures that the door remains locked in the event of a power outage, providing an additional layer of security for sensitive areas. The lock is compatible with any standard access control panel and is suitable for indoor installation in offices, warehouses, schools, hospitals and private homes.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between fail-secure and fail-safe electric locks?

The SecureEntry-EL100 is a fail-secure (power-on-to-lock) device: the deadbolt is extended and the door is locked when power is applied, and retracts to unlock when power is cut. Fail-safe locks work the opposite way — they unlock when power is lost. Fail-secure is recommended for security-critical areas where the door must remain locked during a power outage.

What access control devices can be connected to the SecureEntry-EL100?

The lock can be connected to any standard access controller with a relay output — including RFID card readers, PIN keypads, fingerprint scanners, face recognition terminals and time recorders. The relay output from the controller briefly cuts power to the lock, causing the deadbolt to retract and the door to open.

What is the configurable lock delay used for?

The lock delay (0, 3 or 6 seconds) defines how long the deadbolt remains retracted after the access signal is received. A longer delay allows multiple people to pass through without re-authenticating — useful in busy entrances or corridors. The delay is set via a jumper or DIP switch on the lock body.
