What is a time attendance recorder used for?

Time attendance recorder is a very practical and useful device used to monitor employees’ working hours. With such a device, you can register the time of arrival and departure of employees, as well as have insight into the time worked. Additionally, the time attendance recorder can be successfully used as a device for managing access to individual buildings. This type of equipment is recommended primarily for companies employing a large number of people, as it enables easy recording of working hours. However, it will also work well in small businesses.

The working hours reader has special mounting holes on the back of the housing, and usually comes with plugs and screws included in the set, so it can be mounted anywhere, for example, on a wall in a room.

Types of access verification

Time attendance recorders, depending on the model, can offer three types of access verification for recording working hours.

  • Fingerprint time attendance recorder – for each employee, fingerprints must be entered into the recorder, usually the thumb or index finger. Then, when the employee arrives at work, they are required to immediately place their finger on the scanner in the recorder, so the arrival time will be automatically recorded in the internal memory. Similarly, when leaving the company, the finger must also be placed to correctly record the end of work. However, it should be remembered that if you decide to use this type of verification, you must have written consent from the employee.
